Dive into the craft of bookbinding while creating a meaningful and beautiful book to house memories for years to come. In this full day course, students will work on their hand skills while crafting unique photo albums. Students will be introduced to foundational bookbinding skills, then have the opportunity to apply them in their own personal style in a more complex structure.
Hanna Rashidi (she/her/hers) is a bookbinder and teaching artist with an AB from Brown University in Literary Arts. She is currently training at North Bennet Street School in the Bookbinding Department. She is deeply committed to a respect for craft and to incorporating thoughtful design into useful objects.
Her work spans a wide range of skills including new bindings, custom boxes, book conservation, and paper repair. She has taught at numerous institutions including the San Francisco Center for the Book and North Bennet Street School. You can find her current projects on Instagram @rashidiart
