Women’s History Month Celebration with Stitch House, A Far Cry, & Brockton Beer
March 16th | 5:30PM-8PM | Fuller Craft Museum Great Room
Celebrate Women’s History Month at Fuller Craft Museum. Listen to Grammy-nominated chamber orchestra A Far Cry and explore the essential, often invisible work of carrying culture across generations in their “Hearth” program. Songs, celebrations, food, games, craft, spoken language – the things that give us a sense of home and belonging – have largely thrived over centuries thanks to the ingenuity and tenacity of women who remain anonymous to us. In this program, we meet six composers encountering the gifts and burdens of this legacy while finding their own ways to carry a fire forward. During our evening, please join Annissa and friends from the Stitch House (Dorchester) for some social knitting. Oh! You don’t knit? No problem! We will have all you need to explore knitting with us. We’ll provide practice yarn and needles to give knitting a twirl. And with it a few good laughs. Don’t forget to enjoy a drink from our friends, Brockton Beer Company! This event is supported by grants from our local cultural councils, which are supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. Free | Open to the Public (21+)

Decorate a placemat instead! This is your last chance to be inspired by “Food Justice: Growing a Healthier Community through Art”, on view through April 23rd.
