On [Sense]ation Days, admission is free of charge. We invite visitors of all ages to participate in a multi-sensory experience of art and craft. Held during February and April school vacation weeks, the target audience for this program is families with young children, but activities are planned to appeal to adults as well as youngsters in order to encourage all visitors to explore and experience art.
Activities often include hands-on art making, artist demonstrations, family oriented tours of exhibitions, gallery games such as scavenger hunts, and musical or theatrical entertainment to captivate young and old alike.
[Sense]ation Day is funded in part by the following cultural councils: Abington, Attleboro, Berkley, Bridgewater, Brockton, Canton, Duxbury, Easton, Halifax, Hanson, Middleborough, North Attleborough, Plympton, Randolph, Rockland, and Stoughton. These local agencies support the arts with funding provided by Massachusetts Cultural Council. We are grateful for their support.
