Spend an afternoon making beautiful marbled fabrics for your next quilting project. The Fabric selection is all cotton with yards and yards of white and solid colors ready to be marbled. This technique can produce lovely patterns in either traditional or contemporary styles, with figurative elements like flowers, hearts, fish or go with abstract shapes. With custom color choices and a personal marbling vat, each participant will complete yards of personal designs.
We’ll focus on the Turkish form of Water Marbling, “Ebru”, using carrageenan to thicken our water bath. Cotton yardage in sizes: 11 x 15, 15 x 23 and 24 x 24 inches.
All materials are included. Dress for a mess, and bring a bagged lunch. All skill levels are welcome! Instructor: Cristina Hajosy
