Fuller Craft Museum is open for regular hours, Tuesday - Sunday, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm.
Fuller Craft Museum works closely with Brockton teachers and administrators to provide field trip opportunities for BPS students to visit the museum and engage with our collections and exhibitions as a part of their classroom curriculum each year. Students learn to look closely, discuss art, and think critically during their guided tours. Students will listen and learn from each other, make connections to their classroom experience, and explore works of art and craft through themes that are relevant, engaging, and thought-provoking.
Over the years, the program has developed and changed based on the needs of the schools and the resources available at Fuller Craft Museum. Currently, we offer annual guided tours for all third and fifth grade students, utilizing Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) techniques, a research-based teaching method that improves critical thinking and language skills through discussions of art objects. VTS encourages participation and self-confidence, especially among students who struggle.
