Learn to make four simple books in this one-day workshop! The first will be a 16-page book made from one sheet of paper by folding and cutting the page in a certain way. The second will be an 8-page book made from one sheet of paper by folding and cutting the page a certain way. The third will be a 20-page two signature notebook with a softcover using a saddle stitch binding with thread. The fourth will be a multiple signature notebook using binding with thread and strips of fabric. At the end of the workshop, each person will have completed four books and will have the skills to make their own at home. Students are required to provide their own supplies (links to sources will be provided upon registration).
Required Materials:
- Regular paper
- Thicker paper
- Pencil with eraser
- Awl/Something to poke holes in the paper
- Bookbinding/Thick needle
- Thread, Strips of fabric
- Bone folder
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Two binder clips
