Fuller Craft Museum Announces
New Museum Director, Denise Lebica

The Board of Directors of Fuller Craft Museum is pleased to announce the immediate appointment of Denise Lebica as Museum Director. Ms. Lebica has served as Deputy Director of Fuller Craft since October 2014 and as Interim Director following the retirement of Jonathan Fairbanks in July 2017.

Ms. Lebica assumes responsibility for the strategic direction of Fuller Craft Museum, and the execution of its Strategic Plan, 2017 – 2022, which she was instrumental in developing. She has assembled a solid team of museum professionals across all functional areas that have together enabled Fuller Craft to take a national leadership role in the American contemporary craft community. Denise brings more than 30 years of museum and non-profit experience to Fuller Craft, having held positions at the Children’s Museum of Dartmouth, Mass Audubon Society/Trailside Museum, Huntington Theatre Company, as a textile artisan with PlimothCRAFT and manager of the textile department at Plimoth Plantation. She has taught and lectured both nationally and internationally on the history and techniques of the textile arts. In addition to a B.A. in Studio Art, Denise is a practicing watercolor artist and textile artisan, and brings both a working knowledge of craft as well as museum management to this position.
