Pottery: Intro to Wheel Throwing

An event every week that begins at 6:00pm on Thursday, repeating until June 21, 2018

This 8-week course focuses on all the basics of working on a pottery wheel. This introductory-level course is for beginner through advanced students (ages 16+) with individualized instruction that will cover basic skills, control, and self-expression, as well as surface decoration and glazing. Basic to advanced wheel throwing techniques will be taught. Techniques for making a variety of forms such as plates, bowls, vases, pitchers and coffee mugs will be demonstrated. Open Pottery Studio Overview Open studio is offered exclusively for Fuller Craft Museum Members with prior experience in ceramics and need a studio to work in. There is a studio monitor but, no instruction.  Session fee includes use of all Fuller Craft Museum ceramic studio equipment including: Wheels, sink, hand building tables, wedging table, throwing tools, wire tools, and other hand tools located in the ceramic studio.
