Intro to Jewelry and Metalsmithing

Metalsmithing is typically defined as the practice of forming and fabricating metal into jewelry. While most commercial jewelry is crafted in gold, silver, and platinum, in this course you will work in copper, brass and/or silver. This 6-week class will cover essential metalsmithing skills such as sawing, filing, soldering, and texturing metal. Cabochon Stone Bracelet Workshop

4-week class. Learn to set a dichroic glass cabochon stone in sterling silver and create a unique charm on a hand wrapped sterling silver bangle bracelet. This class will cover basic metalsmithing techniques like sawing, filing, and soldering to create a one of a kind piece.
