Shibori, or physical resist, has been a traditional pattern-making technique in Japan, India, Africa throughout history, and continues today. We will begin experimenting with Japanese approaches such as Kumo (binding), Ori-Nui (stitching), Itajime (clamping) and Arashi (pole wrapping).
