Uneasy Beauty Reception and Fashion Presentation
October 13, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm
In conjunction with its upcoming exhibition Uneasy Beauty: Discomfort in Contemporary Adornment, Fuller Craft Museum will partner with the Massachusetts College of Art and Design (specifically MassArt’s Fashion and Jewelry and Metalsmithing departments) to present a live model presentation of student works inspired by notions of tension, discomfort, and unease in contemporary jewelry and fashion. A curatorial lecture by Uneasy Beauty guest curator Suzanne Ramljak will precede the model presentation of the evening to ignite the conversation about unease and discomfort in adornment. Uneasy Beauty: Discomfort in Contemporary Adornment is part of the Mass Fashion collaborative. Sponsored by the Caroline R. Graboys Fund, the Coby Foundation, the Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG), and the Brockton Community Council..
