Designer and microbuilder Deek Diedricksen makes tiny masterpieces out of salvaged materials and sheer ingenuity. He returns to Fuller Craft Museum to hold another fantastic three-day building workshop. This time he will create a funky and inventive shelter-structure installation (part treehouse, part cabin) in Barstow gallery. The installation will be part of our upcoming Playtime in the Making exhibition. This weekend is an opportunity to witness the thinking, imagination, technique, materials, teamwork, and philosophy that go into building a Tiny House. You may register to help build and be part of the process or choose simply to come and observe. The full weekend workshop includes a Friday night Pre-Build Party, 22 hours of building and instruction with Diedricksen on Saturday and Sunday (open for public viewing); and a raffle to win your very own Tiny House. Museum visitors are welcome to come and view the installation for the regular Museum admission.
