Calling all chess players and enthusiasts!
Join us for a whole day of strategy, intellect, and fun as Fuller Craft Museum hosts a Spiegel Cup Qualifying Chess Tournament sponsored in part by the Massachusetts Chess Association (MACA) and the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Enjoy 4 rounds of chess G/45, d5. The tournament will be officiated by Nicholas P. Sterling, Ph.D., NESA, USCF Chess Tournament Director.
$25 Nonmembers pre-registration (until 9/12)
$20 Members pre-registration (until 9/12)
$30 walk-ins registration
When you register online you may order a lunchbox from Panera Bread to be delivered at 12:30 pm the day of the tournament.
Please note that all children 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent in the Museum. Explore the galleries and have a conversation with one of our Museum docents. Please arrive at 9:00 am to check in/register. After the tournament do a little shopping at the IKEA just 10 minutes away.
That day will include:
9:00 – 9:45 am: Registration for Spiegel Cup qualifying chess tournament
9:00 – 11:00 am: A reception in the morning with coffee, tea, and muffins/doughnuts
10:00 am: Round 1 begins
10:00 am: The exhibition galleries open to visitors
5:00 pm: Museum closes
