|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, repeating until October 17, 2017

Join us for an open air (Plein Air) painting course, conducted by Jonathan Fairbanks in the landscape surrounding Fuller Craft Museum, September 12 – October 17, 2017.

All artists, intermediate through advanced, are invited to join Jonathan Fairbanks in this out-of-doors landscape painting course. Spend two hours (or more) in the natural woodlands around and near Fuller Craft Museum in order to depict images by any pictorial means—water color, pastel, oil on canvas, acrylic or other in the afternoon light. During inclement weather the class will meet in Museum’s education studio for portrait or still life studies. Basic principles of the craft of painting will be stressed from preparation or choice of painting surfaces to final protective varnish or framing.
