Classes are held in person, in our studios.
8-week Course. An introduction for both beginning and advanced students to the art of creating images of animals and birds in mosaic. This goes beyond the usual introductory class in both scale and technique. Participants will each work on their own mosaic panel in the size of their choice. Topics include dynamic composition, color theory, mosaic materials and techniques, mortar, and grout.
Students may supply their own 8” x 11” photograph to work from or choose from a selection of images. Additional materials fee covers the cost of glass cutters and/or tile nippers, a backing board, tape, mortar, grout, and a hanging system (usually a set of cleats).
