6 weeks. Turn your summer treasures into wearable art. Suitable for complete beginners as well as students looking to expand their skills, this workshop makes an ideal introduction to ring making as well as using found objects in jewelry making. During the workshop, you will learn how to bezel set sea glass into a unique Sterling silver ring—an ideal introduction to ring making and jewelry techniques such as sawing, filing, soldering and stone setting.
Different textures and finishes can be applied to allow each student to create an individually designed ring. Students will practice this before moving on to create a bezel setting for their ring. This course is considered an intro level jewelry making class. Please bring your own special piece of sea glass. Instructor: Melanie D. Krauss
