This 2-day workshop will introduce you to turning tools, equipment and accessories. As the course emphasis is on practical turning, you’ll get substantial hands-on experience in basic woodturning techniques. Using your allocated lathe and tools you’ll produce a functional and/or artistic, wooden bowl.
No previous woodworking experience required. Beginner and intermediate level students are welcome. Small class size allows maximum 1 on 1 attention, and individual instruction appropriate to student’s level of experience. No physical strength required. It’s all hand/eye coordination. All tools, safety equipment and materials are provided. Learn the joy of creating treasures with your own hands. Instructor: Ken Lindgren
Wood is provided–All wood used is from trees already fallen due to death, storm damage or construction.
This workshops meets over one weekend, each day will start at 9:00 am and end at 4:00 pm (including approx. half an hour for lunch–please provide your own lunch).
