Intro to Embroidery

In this one-day workshop you will learn the basics to creating an embroidery sampler. Basic skills will be covered such as separating strands of floss, threading the needle, at least 6 basic embroidery stitches and how to make knots to start and end your stitches.
By the end this 3-hour session, students will have learned how to create/transfer the image to fabric and all the skills to finish their piece independently.
Required Materials:
- Light color cotton fabric
- 8″ embroidery hoop
- Embroidery needle(s)
- Embroidery floss (DMC or Anchor are ideal) 1 or more colors
- Scissors
- Pilot Frixion pen or transfer pen
