Half-hull Model Making
May 31 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Half hull models carved and used by ship and boat builders in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries to design, and describe to clients, the shape of, and likely success of a particular hull shape.
In this four-hour workshop participants will glue together hull shapes and begin to carve a small model of simple boat. Simple wood working tools and materials will be provided. This workshop will include a 30-minute break. Instructor: Peter Arenstam.
