CROWN Uniform and Linen Service Provides Summer SPARK Scholarship Program

Crown Summer SPARK Scholarship Program
As of today, July 10, 2018, all the scholarships have been distributed. We are no longer accepting applications for the scholarships. However there are still spots left in our Summer SPARK program.  Register your child today.  

Crown Uniform and Linen Service was founded as a family business in 1914 and has been a leading provider of uniform programs and linen services in New England ever since. Opening their 5th facility in Brockton five years ago, Crown is dedicated to supporting its more than 100 Brockton-based employees and their families. The Crown Summer SPARK Scholarship program at Fuller Craft Museum makes summer arts programming accessible to the entire community through need-based financial assistance.

A limited number of scholarships are available to Brockton residents only, based on financial need and distributed on a first come, first served basis. Once your application has been processed, we will inform you within 14 days of scholarship availability. Scholarship applications are limited to one per child, but more than one child in a family can apply. Scholarships are awarded for up to 100% of tuition fee for full-day programs based on need. Summer SPARK
Join us this summer for four weeks of morning or afternoon workshops for kids ages 5 – 11, designed to spark creativity, experimentation, and self-expression, while introducing children to a variety of craft materials and processes. Small group sizes ensure that students stay safe and engaged. New projects each week, no repeats! Click here learn more and register.

Morning Sessions / 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
CRAFTspiration
Through individual and group projects in the studio and galleries, children will work with materials such as wood, fiber, and metal. $125 Members / $175 Nonmembers (per child, per session)

Afternoon Sessions / 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Creations in Clay
Get your hands dirty with this hand-building ceramics course. Learn how to create slabs, coils, and pinch pots out of lumps of clay. Mastered each technique and
then combine your skills to make creative objects that are functional or decorative!
$125 Members / $175 Nonmembers (per child, per session)

Summer SPARK Teen
Morning Sessions / 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Mixed Media
For ages 12 – 16. Inspired by works from the museum’s collection, teens in this class will explore and experiment with various ways of making art including, painting, 3-D forms, bookmaking and more-all supplies included in fee.
$125 Members / $175 Nonmembers (per child, per session)

Afternoon Sessions / 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Pottery & Clay
For ages 12 – 16. Explore what it’s like to be a potter and learn to make hand-built pottery. Teens in this class will also get an introduction to the potter’s wheel. Projects may include cups, bowls, and more as they learn the basic techniques of pottery. Learn how to decorate with glazes–all supplies included in fee.
